Ah, the great French martial art of retreat. I get it now! Is there another one where you can go practice how to surrender?

I kid. :)

Parkour is all about efficiency of movement. If martial arts is 'Fight' parkour is 'Flight'. You train to encounter obstacles and transition away from them without losing speed or momentum.

'Free Running' is essential parkour with extra tricks thrown in. Extra backflips and the like. Pretty cool, but it's easier to get hurt. It also isn't as worried about flowing through movement as parkour.

I'm not exactly sure what Russian Climbing is, from what I've seen it's more like free running than parkour.

Nice! I know Parkour has got to be a lot of fun.

Any word on the difference between 'Parkour', 'Free Running', and 'Russian Climbing'?
