Hi there, first of all thank you for such a well written bit of writing!! May i ask what the book is called that you quote from ?
“Grotowski had evolved a training method to liberate actors from psychological blocks and penetrate their inner selves, ‘surpassing limits’ and creating moments of spiritual transcendence or ‘translumination’ through self-revelation,” (Brown: p.441-442).

Hi , im currently studying Grotowski at school and im still abit confused .. i looked in school ,public libaries and websites and i am still confused about the method and style of Jerzy Grotowski and how these methods and styles are being used in modern day(today)

All the ideas were expressed so clearly to me. It really brought to the light the conventions of traditional western theatre that Grotowski was keen to do away with.

This has helped me so much.. I am currently in my third year studying european theatre arts.. My dissertation is concerned with Grotowski and his use of space in relation to the audience.. I was getting lost in information but this is clear concises and very helpful.
